Bright yellow-gold in color with surfaces that are semi-prooflike. Near fully struck, the stars are sharp, Liberty’s hair finely detailed, and the eagle’s feathers bold. Only the vertical shield stripes lack full detail as the individual lines have merged into six thick stripes. Scattered contact marks set the grade, and are somewhat exagerrated by the reflective fields, the most notable of which are on Liberty’s lower neck above 1 in the date.
